About the Program

Senior citizens often face barriers to acquiring health information. These barriers may include limited health literacy, computer access, and transportation issues.

Difficulty accessing health information can have a negative impact on the health and quality of life of our area’s seniors – an under-served population.

To help seniors overcome these barriers, Munson Healthcare Community Health Library and the Senior Center Network partnered to launch the Health & Wellness To Go program, providing disease and condition specific tote bags for seniors to borrow. These tote bags are located at convenient community health and senior centers and include easy-to-understand information and tools in plain language about diseases and conditions that impact the senior community.
