Senior WOW Time

Tuesdays, starting January 12 at 9 a.m. Join the Senior Center Network for some weekly Senior WOW (WithOut Walls) Time. This exciting, weekly, virtual meeting has something for everyone -- from museum tours to smart money managing tips-- all in the comfort of your own home! Space is limited, and registration is required by the Friday prior to each session. Send an e-mail to mgoetz@gtcountymi.gov or call the Senior Center Network at 231-922-4911. FREE. Please refer to the Senior WOW Time schedule below. Topics are subject to change.

January 12 - Meet Michelle Goetz, our new Program Coordinator. She would like to hear from you about your favorite activities at the Senior Center.
January 19 - Jason Tank from Front Street Wealth Management will answer your financial questions.
January 26 - Jason Dake from Dennos Museum will give us a special tour of the museum.
February 2 - Alan VanderPaas from BATA will give us an update. Bring your questions.
February 9 - Senior Center Update
February 16 - Andrew Brown from Collette Tours will talk to us about travel.
February 23 - Jason Tank from Front Street Wealth Management will answer your financial questions.
March 2 - Emily Cook from Grand Traverse Conservation District will talk about “Birds, Pollinators and Native Plants”.
March 9 - Kathleen English from Habitat for Humanity will talk to us about their home repair program.

GetSetUp - Online Classes Taught By Seniors For Seniors.

We are thrilled to soft launch the GetSetup initiative this week in partnership with the State of Michigan.  Go to getsetup.io/partner/michigan – the landing page exclusively for Michigan residents to sign up for classes at no cost. This program is supported by the Michigan Health Endowment Fund and coronavirus relief funds.  All classes are free to Michiganders when you use the Code MICHIGANHEALTH.  Please let us know what you think! 

Virtual Exercise and Music Programming Offered 

The Grand Traverse County Senior Center Network is working with Traverse Area Community Media to offer free virtual programming.  If you are a Spectrum Charter customer tune in to CommunityTV Channel 189 at the scheduled times listed below, or you can access the programming anytime by clicking on the links below. 

Virtual Exercise and Yoga 



Join exercise and yoga instructors, Karen Belanger, Jeana Seidelman and Naomi Call, for free virtual exercise and yoga classes. If you would like to "sign out" an exercise ball, stick, band, block, strap and weights, please call the senior center at 231-922-4911, to schedule an appointment for pick-up.
