About Property Fraud
Property fraud is when someone uses your property for financial gain. According to the FBI, property and mortgage fraud is the fastest growing white-collar crime. It happens when someone files a fraudulent document with the Register of Deeds Office, making it look like they own your property.
You can protect yourself by subscribing, free of charge, to a notification service called Property Fraud Alert.
