The Grand Traverse Beekeeping Club presents "Keeping Bees in Changing Times". Keynote speaker: Bob Mumby of Mumbees Honey Farm, followed by instructive round-robin presentation on all things beekeeping! Topics will include: - Overcoming the challenges of the Varroa Destructor bee parasite - Small scale marketing and business management - Products from the hive, beyond honey - Options for successful overwintering - Survey of beekeeping hive styles and equipment Event supported by Crosshatch Center for Art and Ecology, Oryana Community Co-op and the USDA Risk Management Agency
