January 16, 2019, All Day @ Online Registration

The MSU Extension Master Gardener Program connects gardeners across the state to MSU‘s faculty and resources. Participants have access to information generated at one of the nation’s top plant science teaching and research universities and the chance to use this knowledge to improve their communities and enrich lives. 14 session curriculum provides horticulture training on everything you need to manage a landscape - soil science, integrated pest management, diagnostics, annuals and perennials, woody ornamentals, lawns, vegetables, small fruits, tree fruits and gardening for water conservation. You will then have 1 year to complete 40 hours of service to earn your Master Gardener certification. Through volunteer activities, you will educate others in your local community on the gardening practices you have learned! You can work with kids on a school garden, participate in a diagnostic clinic, teach others how to garden, beautify community spaces or any number of other activities.
